EUROPEAN FAIR ORGAN PIPES
Here is the entire melody, CCM & Accomp pipe works from an European Fairground Organ that was destroyed many years ago.
As you can see from the pictures below, it was indeed a remarkable instrument with no less then 3 ranks of violin pipes, All are unrestricted but are the real heart of the instrument, Included in this find are the following ranks;
Melody Violins (13 pipes X 3 ranks =39) Complete but needing restoration.
Piccolo's, are all complete, one has been stripped of it's many coats of paint and polished back to the original high gloss Brass.
Trumpets. all are complete with reeds, shallots, tuners etc but boots are
missing which are easily made from cardboard tubes as was done originally.
Most of the pipes chest boards are included.
Cello pipes are in excellent condition and still on their chest boards.
Viola Accompaniment and counter Melody show signs of wood worm but will make perfect patterns to create new pipes, many of the pipes various parts are free of damage depending on the type of wood used.
All pipes were fumigated some years and presently show no further activity.
