Restoration of Bell Player Piano #2

         Work continues with the full restoration of the Player Piano PUMPS

The lower section of the player mechanism is now completed including the sustaining pneumatic, Main player pumps and all new tubing 

Restoration work now moves onto the upper section of the player piano system which is referred to as the STACK.

We have removed the pneumatics from the lower shelf and now to install new pneumatic cloth on to the original pneumatic boards and to reglue to the lower shelf again using original methods from 1946 Hot animal hyde glue.

    Work now moves onto the second pneumatic shelf

Work now moves to the player stack valve chest. This is the section that reads the music roll and turns this small signal into opening and closing the 88 pneumatics *Pictured above) that do the actual "Playing" of your Player piano

Restoration now continues with the install of the piano action, new hammers, dampers installed, Piano tuning begins etc. then onto the Air motor and tracking devices of the player piano system/
