Restoration of an original Carl GRIESBAUM WHISTLER 1930

July 11 2022 The mechanism was found to have been dropped at some time which damaged a number of items so I took it with me on my last trip to Germany. I spent several days at Rudesheim where the Griesbaum whistlers and singing birds are still being made. The owner of "Seigfrieds Musical cabinet" is now Jens Wendel who I have known and worked with on many large orchestrion project both in Europe and the USA. Jens was kind enough to do a complete restoration which included; Bellows, Endless gear, Worm drive, Spring and music disks set. etc. etc.  I then reinstalled in the restored hand carved figure.
