Nickelodeon Co. style "O" orchestrion
This instrument was built in our shops at London Ontario in the 1980's We made over 20 of this model orchestrion which were sold to collectors, and various resteraunts all over the world. These orchestrions began with a quality player piano of 1920 vintage then a new case was made and the various other instruments to play the Style "O" (Operators) music rolls were installed.
These extra instruments could include;
Accordion.
Xylophone.
Glockenspiel.
Flute or violin pipes.
Bass drum with Tympini (Kettle drum.
Snare drum with both roll and tap beaters.
Triangle.
Indian wood block.
Tamborine.
Rythm & Bass cymbal.
Castinetts.
Sleigh bells.
Mandolin or "Honkey Tonk" on piano
Lots of music to choose from our collection of over 50 Style o music rolls containing 10 or more songs each.
We can also install a MIDI system which will allow the instrument to play computer midi files as well as the paper music roll, We do have midi filesof such famous companies as :Link, Wurlitzer, Seeburg, Philipps, Weber to name a few.
We recently purchased back one of these instruments from a home in Northern Quebec. It had originally been sold to a resteraunt chain in Ontario called "Bib & Tucker"
It is now ready for a full restoration and is also being offered for sale either as is unrestored for $8,500.00 or restored to YOUR choice of instruments etc. Cost once restored will be in the area of $35,000.00 to 40,000.00 depending on the exact configuration and instruments included. for example we have in the past installed a real mandolin which would appear to be playing the notes as the Mandolin attachement on the piano did the real work.
