The Schulmerich Carillon was given the name of " Coronation " in honor of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II which took place on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey, London. She acceded to the throne at the age of 25 upon the death of her father, George VI, on 6 February 1952,
This is a church tower carillon that I removed from a church in Listowell Ontario around 1990. I did a little work on it then installed it at our Nickelodeon Co. shops where it has played for the last 25 years, especially at Christmas.
It has been stored in heated, dry, location and is ready for a new home. As you can see from the pictures below it comes complete with 19 multi tune music rolls.
Even the correct tower speaker which I purchased new in 1990.
It is comprised of two cabinets. The tall one contains the music roll which is an endless roll so there is no need for a rewind system to get out of order. This cabinet also controls the many functions such as on/off manual and automatic timed performances. The type of bell toll to be used for weddings or funerals etc (4 different tolls) Tower volume etc.
The second cabinet contains the actual "Bells" which are strips of bronze that are struck and amplified. Also the clock for timed performances day and night, number of songs in each performance etc. etc.
Everything is metal and very well made. The electronics are all simple mechanical contacts, motors, switches etc, no computer boards or printed circuts in this vintage instrument.
Also included are all of the electrical schematics, catalog and manuals that I was able to obtain from the Schulmerich Company back in 1990.
Also included is a keyboard so the organist can play the tower bells from the organ loft and a newer amplifier that I found at another church while working on their Schulmerich tower bells over the years.
Price for everything you see in the pictures, which is a complete system ready to install, and really impress your neighbors is just $800.00 USA exactly what I paid in 1990.
Being sold as is where is;
